What I Watched in 2014

The movie rating is based on how much I, as the reviewer, ENJOY the movie. So readers be warned – it’s not about the quality of or how Oscar-worthy the movie is.
The best one is rated ❤ Ⓛⓞⓥⓔ ❤; the worst is rated o(‧”’‧)o; everything else falls in between.

Starting from the very recent:
  1. About Time [2013]; Feature; ♡ Ⓛⓘⓚⓔ; It’s a likeable movie, with likeable actors who act like real people (except maybe, Rachel McAdams, who act like a Hollywood belle) but the story reminds me too much of The Time Traveler’s Wife (with McAdams playing the Hollywood belle.)
  2. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire [2013]; Feature; ❤ Ⓛⓞⓥⓔ; The best sequel EVER!  This actually puts the Twilight Saga in shame! Kristen Stewart’s career would never measure up to Jennifer Lawrence from now on I’m afraid..
  3. Zero Dark Thirty [2012]; Feature; ❤ Ⓛⓞⓥⓔ ❤; I don’t care if the USofA got Bin Ladin, as long as Jessica Chastain got to show her acting chops! Thanks Kathryn Bigelow, for being woman enough to make this movie!
  4. The East [2013]; Feature; ♡ Ⓛⓞⓥⓔ; Gotta admit I watched this because of Alexander Skarsgård, but the message is real – that the Earth is being polluted with various kinds of chemical garbage and the big industries with money are responsible for the physical cancer in today’s society.
